While visiting a Lepsha village outside of Darjeeling, Bill and I were fortunate to stay the night with a kind family that made us dinner and made us two of our favorite snacks in the world - beer and popcorn.

This beer is made of a mixture of maize mash and is put into a bamboo cup and then is steeped with boiling water. The alcohol content is low, but you can definitely get a small buzz after a few glasses!
